What transportation is available to get from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport to downtown Montreal?

Thursday, December 30th, 2010 | Montreal with 2 Comments

Question by Ken: What transportation is available to get from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport to downtown Montreal?
I need some advice from any Montreal residents here.

Next week I’ll be flying into Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in Dorval. My hotel is located in downtown Montréal, near the Centre Bell.

What form of transportation should I use to get from Montréal-Trudeau to the Centre Bell?

Does the airport have a shuttle or light rail service? If not- How much (in CAD) is a taxi?

What do you guys think I should do?

Best answer:

Answer by Ray
You can take STM bus route 204 or 209 to the Dorval train station, then either the commuter train to Lucien L’Allier station, or route 211 to Lionel-Groulx métro station and métro line 2 to Lucien L’Allier.

There is also a bus that runs between the airport and the main bus terminal (near Berri-UQAM – take métro line 2 to Lucien L’Allier).

A scan of a postcard, sent to me by a friend… This shows Calgary, ca. 1968 or 1969. On the left is Prince’s Island (yet to be built into a park maybe?), of course the Bow River, and the bridge over Memorial Drive hasn’t been built yet…

Daytime view of the Toronto downtown area from the CN tower Sky Pod (at 447m / 1465 ft.) – taken from the lower floor, there’s almost unnoticable oval window to the right of the elevator which gives this great view!

And this is my first daily shot that got into Explore Top 500. :)
