Calgary Stampede Expansion Good For Economy

Municipal and provincial politicians say the expansion of the Calgary Stampede will be a boom for the local and the provincial economy.
Groundbreaking for the first phase of the Stampede’s much-anticipated expansion was celebrated Wednesday.

Alberta Gaming Minister Gordon Graydon says the $35 million the province is contributing to the expansion of the roundup centre is money well spent.
Mayor Dave Bronconnier says the expansion will help in the re-vitalization of the eastside of downtown.

I do not believe that the Stampede is good for Calgary. Rape drug soared when the bar Cowboys was opened in Calgary and the corporate sponsors are the same every year. This town is controlled by Shaw GMC and Torode Reality — Groups are mobilizing and we will not support an extension to the Calgary Stampede!
